Tackling youth unemployment in East Belfast
Oasis Caring In Action is appealing for unemployed young people to take part in a 12-week Prince’s Trust course to learn new skills and improve their confidence and motivation.
The Prince’s Trust Team programme will be based at Castlereagh Street, and will help to tackle youth unemployment in East Belfast. The course will give unemployed 16 to 24 year olds the skills and confidence they need to find a job.
Young people will get involved in team building activities, a week-long residential trip, a community project and two weeks of work experience during the course. They will also get advice on how to write CVs as well as gaining nationally recognised qualifications.
Craig Wilson, Oasis Caring In Action said: “Too many young people in East Belfast feel they don’t have the skills and talents they need to succeed. This programme allows them to show what they can achieve in their local area when they work together. Team really does help them to turn their lives around, helping them into work, education or training.”
We are currently recruiting for the first Team in East Belfast, places are limited, for more information on the course, please call Craig or Wade on 02890 872277 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training. The Prince’s Trust helps over 6,000 disadvantaged young people in Northern Ireland each year, giving them the confidence and skills to turn their lives around.
