The young people at Youth Ways have recently been on a visit to the Crumlin Road Jail in Belfast. All who went found the trip an interesting experience and many came back with a new found insight into life in the Troubles. Hopefully this eye opener will leave them with plenty of questions as they will soon get a chance to talk to an ex-lifer and former Crumlin inmate!
Our intrepid Marathon trainees have this week been learning just how far 6 miles is. As a group they hiked from Ballygalley to Ballyboley forest across the Antrim Hills and had quite an adventure while they were at it. Surviving 6 foot snow drifts, buried diggers and even sadly some of the animal victims of the recent cold snap they have all had a day not to forget. With their latest feat behind them the team are getting even more excited for the marathon in May.
